Start with the reference number
Record the drawing code, document title and revision shown on the sheet. Open the original PDF from the product page so that you can read the notes and dimensions clearly. If your plan names a particular model, ask your designer before substituting a similar-looking item.

- Capacity and configuration: which volume, compartments and intended use does your plan specify?
- Dimensions and openings: which inlet, outlet, access and connection details need to match?
- Cover and loading: what burial and loading conditions has the project designer specified?
- Handling: what does the manufacturer say about weight and lifting? Ask who will arrange suitable equipment.
- Accessories: which lids, risers, frames or other components are included, and which need their own line item?
Resolve a mismatch before ordering
Send both the plan reference and the manufacturer drawing number with your enquiry. Where a catalog title and a drawing differ, keep the question visible on your quote list. A supplier’s price confirmation does not replace the designer’s product selection.
